As a record for our children and grandchildren Wally Hirsh gives us a frank and sensitive account of the loss of his family in the Holocaust and the loss to us all of their unfulfilled lives. He contrasts this loss with his fulfilling life and work gives us insight into his experiences during his time as New Zealand Race Relations Conciliator.
